In the terminal

Accessibility at MSY

The terminal is step-free, and help is split between your airline, TSA and the airport. Here is who to ask for what.

Checked October 12, 2026 against the sources listed below

Wheelchair or escort to the gate
Ask your airline when you book and again at check-in. Airlines provide wheelchair help through the airport by law.
Help through security
Call TSA Cares ahead of your trip. TSA Cares
Deaf or hard of hearing
Dial 711 and ask the Louisiana Relay Service for (504) 303-7700, Airport Communications. Visual paging shows on the flight information screens.
